Poker Run Laramie Wy
For extra-energetic retirees, try the Poker Run ski race in February and the Wyoming Marathon on Memorial Day weekend. Casper, located in the center of Wyoming, is the state’s second largest city. Locally known as “Wyoming’s Adventure City,” it offers fishing in the historic North Platte River and hiking, biking, snowmobiling, skiing. Poker Run - Laramie, WYOMING - Saturday, July 18, 2020 - Support Cathedral Home for Children, preventive and residential services for at-risk youth and families.
The 2020 Pedal House Poker Run will be a two part event this year - half actual event, and half virtual event.
2020’s Theme: COVID-19 (That is a hint to the locations of the playing cards.)
The Real Part: The poker run is real. Tune into the Pedal House Facebook Page or check the the website here: NEWS, at 3:PM on Saturday October 31st, 2020 for the COVID 19 Poker Run instructions and clues. Then head out into the world and find 7 sets of playing cards at the locations around town. This is a bicycle event, so please ride your bike if you’re going to play. When you find all of the cards head back to your computer and join us for the second half of the event:
The Virtual Part: After you have done the actual part join us at the zoom link that we will post on Facebook at 3:pm on Saturday October 31st, 2020 and present your hand and have a beer and some virtual hang time with friends.
Winners will include Best costume, highest hand and best use of their mask as part of their costume.
The following rules apply:
· You or your team must be on bicycles for this event
· You should be in costume too!
· Ride Responsibly
· Please observe COVID 19 safety protocols and keep social distancing, especially with the people outside of your COVID bubble, and consider wearing a mask. It is the season for masks after all.
· Please join us on zoom for this event, and everyone stay safe. We can’t wait to see everyone in person again, but until then we can still have some fun.
